There cant be an answer if you dont ask a question. You have written an expression there...what do you want us to do with it?

Simplifying

(2a)(xy + -3) + -2(4a + 3)

Remove parenthesis around (2a)

2a(xy + -3) + -2(4a + 3)

Reorder the terms:

2a(-3 + xy) + -2(4a + 3)

(-3 * 2a + xy * 2a) + -2(4a + 3)

(-6a + 2axy) + -2(4a + 3)

Reorder the terms:

-6a + 2axy + -2(3 + 4a)

-6a + 2axy + (3 * -2 + 4a * -2)

-6a + 2axy + (-6 + -8a)

Reorder the terms:

-6 + -6a + -8a + 2axy

Combine like terms: -6a + -8a = -14a

-6 + -14a + 2axy

2a(xy-3) - 2(4a+3)

=2axy - 6 - 8a - 6

=2axy - 8a - 12

=2a(xy - 4) - 12

hi, in this question you have two unknowns and one equation, if you want to equal by zero, then you must write another equation so you can find out the values of (a) and (xy)" as one variable". the simpliest form is a=((2xy-7)*2)/6

What are you supposed to do to it? Solve for something? Simplify? (It looks to be simplified, and to solve it you need something on the other side of an =,<,>, you know?)

I, too don't know what to do with the given expression.
