Do a standard DVD player plays FLV files?

I want to burn a CD but I wanna save some space cause I have limited amount of empty CD so FLV is always smaller than AVI files.. I downloaded videos from Veoh TV so it's 99% flv..

I need help! FAST!

    No. DVD players only play VOB files in the correct navigation structure. You need a burning program that transcodes your files and structures them correctly.

    Most of today's DVD players will also play video CD's, which use the VCD or SVCD format. Again, you need a buring program which will transcode your files properly.

    I'm told that there are some DVD players which will play AVI files directly, but they're not that common.
