What is the least expensive way to get from Paris to Frankfurt airport? What train is best?

I was looking to see if there was a direct train into the train station at the Frankfurt airport-but they all seem to go to Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof. I know one goes from the main station to the airport, but I couldn't find a price for one way. Also what is the best train to take from Paris to Frankfurt? We will be leaving Paris in the morning for a 3PM flight out of Frankfurt.

There isn't a direct train to the Frankfurt Airport from Paris. there are a couple of options.

You can take the 6:58 am ICE 9551 train from the Paris Est station to Mannheim (arrive: 10:16) and change to a train that goes to Frankfurt airport (ICE 612 at 10:35) - arriving at the airport at 11:16 for a cost of 99 euro per ticket.

You can also take the same train from Paris and go all the way to Frankfurt Hbf (arrive at 10:58) - the normal fare is 99 euro, but there is a special fare for 39 euro if there are any seats available at that price. There are about 8 trains per hour from Frankfurt Hbf that stop at the airport (travel time 11 to 13 minutes) - cost 6 or 11.50 euro depending on the train. Arriving at Frankfurt Hbf at 11, you could easily make the trains to the airport at: 11:17 (platform 103), 11:32 (platform 103), 11:44 (platform 6) or 11:47 (platform 103) all of which arrive at Frankfurt airport before noon.

The German train website is good for locating connections throughout Europe: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en The Frankfurt airport station is: Frankfurt(M)Flughafen

The least expensive way would be to take local trains instead of the ICE/TGV, but that lasts...
