Which company has a higher payroll - Wal-mart or Microsoft?

MicroSoft, but at Wal-Mart very few and they are on the Board of Directors.
Number of at MicroSoft; 79,000 employees
Number of at Wal-Mart; over 1,000,000 associates worlwide
It trades places with Exxon-Mobile when it comes to being #1 and #2.
As to better pay.
Kevin Turner, one of the youngest CEO and President in Sam's Club history, which is owned by Wal-Mart left for MicroSoft for a higher salary in 2005.

The Divisions at Sam's Club are now called Regions. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, November 13, 2003 in Bentonville Arkansas where the winners saw Tom Coughlin and Jim Haworth.
