    And justify your answer?

Political obligation? No. we have no treaties or trade agreements with Sudan.

    Moral issue

    A) NO. Since Sudan is both a failed state and a Muslim country being overrun by al Qaida, we have actually a moral imperative to refuse to give aid and comfort to the enemy.

    B) Yes. Sudan is a failed state struggling to run al Qaida out. If the government cannot regain its power, al Qaida will have another stronghold and we are morally bound to prevent that. And while we are not politically obligated, it would be a good PR move with the Muslim world.

Exactly what the SP said. Moral yes. Political and economic reasons no. Maybe if there were large amounts of oil in Sudan President Bush would have sent troops. Coming up on 8 years and still waiting.

Its obvious that PIEGOWDEALER has no clue as to what is occurring in Sudan. He chose to bring up Al Qaida which is irrelevant to the current situation involving the decapitation of innocent people. Lets look back at out current situation. We went into Afghanistan and Iraq to remove Al Qaida and to free the people of both nations. What is currently happening in Sudan is way worse that what occurred in any of the other two countries. If Bush really cared about people that are oppressed and wanted to fight terror then why not be in Sudan?...No economic(oil) reason to be.

Iraq, Genocide, Shooting at our planes every day, History of and desire for WMD's, possible source of oil.

    Sudan, Genocide

I'd say Iraq was a better bet

If Sudan wants to sign a contract to be our colony for a hundred years, it might be in our interest to consent to civilize them, for a share of the benefits.
