why do atheists allways talk about evolution in R&S? you would think it is a religion?

i am a full pledge heretic atheist.

i think god is a jerk and religion one of the world terrible diseases. siting alongside nationality & capitalism.

but i find it very interesting, so i find my self alot asking and chaking answers about religion.

and i see all this atheists who constantly try to prove that religion is stupid. it is just like selling ice to Eskimos.

and they talk about evolution in such a big enthusiasm you would think it their religion. it is just science like the law of gravity. i dont see you talking about that.

the question is

R&S atheists dont you have any thing better tto do then pick on religious folks?

I gave a star, not becaue question is interesting, or that I agree with your views about religion and science, but because I agree that there is a lot of useless, needless, and-or intentionally mean questions deriding (and from) the religious.

It is one thing to reply to an ignorant or aggressive question, it is another altogether to be the person asking such questions, no matter which side of the fence you come from.

It's probably because there is an issue of acceptance among the religious community, mostly Christians in the US and Muslims in the Middle East, and people who accept evolution as reality who are not only atheists but people of all types of beliefs are trying to enlighten the "non-believers".

It's not a matter of evolution being science, it's about the religious folk arguing against it and trying to replace it with their religious version of it in public schools. It IS a religious issue as it is an issue with the religious.

We talk about evolution because we keep getting asked about it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother to bring it up at all.

It is hardly a 'religion'. No - I will rephrase - it is NOT a religion.

We also DO mention gravity, but only when an idiot tells us that it is invisible but is there - just like their god.

If someone states something ridiculous, they deserve ridicule. I am ready to do that, in an attempt to use ridicule, sarcasm, wit, humour, facts ... in order to plant the seed of rational thinking into the minds of the deluded and to, at all costs, keep Mitt Romney from holding power and introducing stupidity into government, even more so than Son-of-a-Bush has done.

Beware, Americans! Your fate is in your hands.

Picking on religion is a useful and necessary thing to do in these days of religion running wild again in both the US and the Middle East. Or don't you feel the least bit threatened by xtians trying to stifle science, actively discriminate against non-xtians and homosexuals, defy state/church separation, or anything being done by muslims these days?

PS to the buddhist: you do realize that the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who refuse to take sides, do you not?

because of the fact this section bargains questions based on the meaning of existence, morals, theory etc... Atheists have self belief in and picture approximately those issues, yet no longer interior a similar way Christians do. we are giving Christians (and all non secular people) yet another ingredient of the tale. yet differently of watching the international. We use our impartial critiques, our logic and our rationality to locate faults in non secular ideals and alert believers of those faults. If the believer is a logical, rational and impartial individual, they'll settle for those faults and are available to new conclusions approximately their faith. although that's complicated to get by to those people because of the fundies announcing **** like 'each little thing interior the bible is genuine', 'technological understanding is fake', 'you are going to hell' and **** like that. non secular web pages, books and different sources have a habit of making use of propaganda to unfold their message and intentionally censor any opposing perspectives and critiques. the only thank you to combat this censorship is thru endurance. Atheists are actively scuffling with for our ideals. Our medium is words (as destructive to non secular believers who's medium has been torture, homicide, bombings, sacrifices, infanticide, etc...). Atheists on the whole have self belief in progression. We have self belief that by technological understanding, co-operation, tolerance and understanding, we are able to boost the international for ourselves and destiny generations. yet often faith has a habit of impeding progression. So us Atheists will stay interior the R+S section and proceed spreading our message a similar way that faith is everywhere and has been spreading their message to everybody for hundreds of years.

Because a majority of religious people want to remove evolution from the education system and teach everyone to just believe that god did it.

Atheists talk about evolution a lot trying to convince themselves it is true. There is no scientific evidence to prove evolution. Things man invents evolves not plants and animals. It does take a lot of faith to believe in evolution, so it must be a religion. Whenever an archeologist wants to explore the middle east they refer to the bible, but when it comes to faith many people refer to bad science.

I don't ask about evolution, frankly I've always thought of it to be unrelated to religion. However, people (usually theists) come here and ask about evolution, and I'll answer their questions.

I don't choose who asks what questions, I just answer them as they come.
