Can a French man and an American woman make it as a married couple?

I'd love to hear from some people who are in couples that are French and American (U.S.)!

1) Discuss your cutural differences.

2) Tell her you want to discuss your perception of America (family, politics, society).

3) Tell her you mean no offense and that discussing culture is a way for you to understand her more.

4) Encourage her to talk about her perception of France and French culture.

5) Correct misunderstands. Don't be infuriated by them. Both of you.

Most importantly, we need more loving couples. People who work through thier problems and appreciate each other. You can have as much or little problems as you want.

....If it makes you feel better America is a very multicultural society. Everybody marries everybody here. American families break up because we work hard, don't have much time for each other, cheat (huge problem), aren't patient enough to work out things. Culture is never the problem. It is a reason why so many of us are tolerant.

Any two people can make it as a married couple as long as they love each other, and have really good communication. Don't let some silly little thing like that stand in the way of love!

YES of course they can! I know many French men with American wives. They're all happily married with children.

People who choose to become a couple need to make sure they can agree to disagree on matters that may come up in their relationship.

Politics, money and religion are deal breakers in many relationships. If a couple can agree to disagree in those instances they have a fighting chance.
