Does anyone know how to calculate the Percent of Daily Value?

There are numbers that you multiply to get the percentage on the nutrition panel. Does anyone know?

Well you actually divide and multiply by 100%.

You divide by the recommended value...

For example, the recommended daily amount of vitamin C is 1000 grams. An orange has 100 grams.

    The percen daily value is (100 / 1000) X 100% = 10%

Plus, you can determine the RDV of a nutrient from labels as well. For example, on my peanut butter is says that 12 g of fat is 18% of the RDV.

12 divided by 0.18 = 67 g of total fat is the Recommended Daily Value (I'm sure in this case it's the max RDV.
