Whose lyrics really knock you out?

Doesn't really matter what kind of music, I'm looking for songwriters with great imagery. Who would you recommend?

Update:

;) Morning Bettie!

I am the wings beneath your feet

The whispering winds that call your name

I am the first flower of the Spring

My tears are the falling rain

    I am a rose without a thorn

I am the silence of the night

    I am a rainbows form

    I'm the early morning light

Nolan Neal- sad sappy acoustic love songs but describes the way everyone has felt at some time or another. i.e.= This is the last tear i'll cry. The last sad goodbye. The last song i'll write to make him treat you right. The last walk in the dark. The last broken heart. The last time i'll try, this is the last tear i'll cry.
