What happens during the DPS road test?

Typically, the DPS Trooper checks out your driving skills. You should be able to get a manual at your local DPS that will give you some more details of the actual test and what will be expected.
Be sure that when you show up to take the exam, that your vehicle is "road worthy" and can pass inspection....blinkers all work, horn works, brakes are good and don't squeal and be sure that you are properly INSURED for your State.
The trooper will then have you drive and turn when he says, be sure to use your turn signals and will probably have you parallel park your car.
Good luck and I hope this helps!Source(s): Insurance agent for 25+ years
