There are a lot. Be careful though, check at www.tvshowsondvd.com to see if a show is on legit DVD. Down below a number of posts was a person that regularly links to bootleg sites. These are on DVD-R, TV recordings, overpriced, many of shows legitimately on DVD. These boots frequently ship damaged if they ship at all and many a person unfortunate enough to have fallen for them have complaints.
What I list are available on legit US DVD aside for a few that are only sold in the UK marked R2 and a Canadian only release but they can be imported.

I agree with most of the answers here that say Arrested Development, it's probably one of the funniest shows EVER and it is extremely rare for any channel to run its reruns which makes it a great DVD to own. As a matter of fact, it is the only show that I own on DVD (I'm not a fan of spending $30 on something they air everyday). The Office is pretty good, most people with a sense of humor enjoy that show. Heroes is awesome and has a huge fan base so I'm sure that's a good one too.

What Genre do you like?
Sci-Fi/Fantasy - Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Charmed
Comedy - oldies like Frasier, Will & Grace, Cheers and newbies like 2 1/2 Men, My Name is Earl
Drama - CSI, 24, etc...
Most any show can now be found on DVD

I definitely agree with Arrested Development. And try The Office. Also, I think the final season of Seinfeld (not my personal fav, but others seem to like it) is coming out soon, or has been released recently.
And if you have more of an adult humor audience, I highly suggest Curb Your Enthusiasm. :)
