is it possible to track someone's phone number ( h/p or hse ) based on i/c ?

    If you got connections inside the service provider's organisation, perhaps you could. Otherwise chances are zilch.

    I prefer to give it. I hate making the first call. Not to say that I don't want the person to call me. But I like the ball out of my hands. I'm not big on "decisions" when it comes to that. If I take rather than give, it's because I have no intention of ever speaking to the person again outside the 2 drinks he bought me.

    The right channel is what you need. Even you are cop or something, if you dont have the permission and whatsoever, you wont get that information...

    my cousin work for the police department and they need signed letter from the highest officer just to track a person based on no...

    maybe. i'm saying this because my friend's mum work at this one jabatan i don't know, and she works on that record departments.

    once, her cousin ask the mother to check on the guy she dated. but it was an act out of desperation.so the mother check for her,and found out this guy has a huge sum of debt at banks. i'm not suprised they can trace your number.

    if you don't have connection, you won't get the number

    only the service provider and police have excess to track the phone number from the i/c no ... provided that the person registered his/her phone number with the provider ... public cannot excess it ... otherwise it will become a violation of privacy ...

    yes, if u have access to the system of mobile phones/fixed lines, provided the someone is a registered owner ...

    yes. it is possible. but only for whom we call hacker...

    in malaysia, hp user MUST register their hp number. so, what the hacker will do, they are going to hack the computer system of the telco(maxis,DiGi,celcom).
