    Serves as the blueprint for the bacteria, genes, etc.. DNA has the same function in every living organism.

    The same thing DNA does in every cell. It codes for proteins so that the bacterium can live and process food. There are two types in bacteria. The main chromosome has all the instructions for the proteins the bacteria needs for life. Then there is a secondary chromosome that contaions information the bacteria needs to avoid poisons (you know the poisons as antibiotics like penecillin.
