Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! It even can speed up your computer by 300% or more!

There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

You're not telling us what kind of computer you have. It's difficult to figure out a diagnosis.

There can be many reasons for a computer to slow down.

    1. If you have been using it for a long time, installing software and removing others can cause Windows registry to 'clog' with many entries that were not removed upon removing stuff from you HDD. Personally, i solve this problem by formatting twice a year.

    2. Your computer may be too old to handle recent software which require more resources. If that's the case, upgrade. You need at least 1GB of Ram.

    3. Your HDD is full of junk; old files, etc. Graphic files use a lot of space. Move what you can on a CD and compress the rest.

    4. Scan disk and disk cleanup can help speeding you system.

    5. Adware, Spyware, trojans and other stuff you usually get from the Internet may be installed on you PC. You'd better have a decent, up-to-date anti-virus software. Run it at least every other week.

Try that. if it doesn't work; your PC is obsolete. Time to go shopping!!!

Deleting temporary internet files, cookies, etc, do not make a significant boost to your computer's speed. I would recommend that you uninstall programs that you no longer need because some of these programs actually have multiple processes running in the background. Some even start running the minute you log in to windows.

Another remedy ... which is going to cost you some money, is to add ram to your computer. This will allow you to multi-task; open multiple windows at one time.

Here's a couple things you can do:

1- Remove any programs you haven't used in a while

    2- Run an anti-virus or anti-spyware program

3- Back up your data and keep it on your Dvd's or Cd's

4- Run Disk Defrag -->Accessories--> System Tools

    Good Luck!

Try turning off System restore in your control panel. Overtime the restore points clutter up your computer taking lots of hard drive space up and slowing down your computer. Restart the computer and turn system restore back on to start saving again if you want to. I always have mine turned off. I never had a problem to use it.
