A maize (dark golden color) would go well with a light stained wood (is the wood "stained" or painted yellow?)

Check out this site, you can use this online interior decorating software to make a virtual model of your room, add furniture, change the color of the walls and experiment with any other things you'd like to try...

Better Homes and Gardens (BHG; http://www.bhg.com)/ has Choose from Color-a-Room, Color-a-Home (exterior appearance), Design-a-Closet, Plan-a-Garden, Arrange-a-Deck, and Arrange-a-Room.

The Arrange-a-Room feature allows you to designate the size of your room and, from drop-down menus, click and drag architectural structures, furniture, and fixtures, such as windows, doors, fireplaces, radiators, outlets, sofas, tables, and toilets. Your room dimensions can be dead-on accurate, and you have the ability to rotate and size all the elements.

Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Shockwave player for this, and all the programs

    Hue:15 Red:255

    Sat:240 Green:242

    Lum:230 Blue:234

Write this in paint (after double clicking the color pallete) and you`ll find the colour :)

I saw in a friends house... the walls were pale pink, the furniture was oak, but I think it had been stained, so it was a little darker than the normal light oak. But it looked really nice. Mahogany or Cherry would be nice, but might look too heavy/dark against the pink.
