Hi, I conduct cardiac stress tests. Most everyone uses the Bruce protocol, which increases speed and incline every 3 minutes. The full protocol is 21 minutes, which at the end is 6mph and 22% incline. The average times at my clinic range from 6-12 minutes, depending on the person's activity level.
