Old-fashioned baby names?

(Planning way ahead, I'm not even expecting yet!)

What are some old-fashioned baby names that are making a comeback? I like the charm of names like Margaret and Ruth. What are some others that have stood the test of time? Thanks!

Good question. ;) I suppose it would depend on just how much of a "comeback" or the amount of timelessness you prefer. For instance, Winston has been in the top 1000 nearly every year since 1880, but generally in the bottom half of the list (around the 600-700 range for years), so while it wouldn't be considered a "comeback" by any means, some might not think it popular enough to be "timeless" either. I would, but I digress. LOL

Assuming you'd want something slightly more common, a la Margaret and Ruth (161 and 373 respectively), but not overused (Emily, Emma, etc.), I'll stick to a few in the top 100 and no lower than 500. ;)

The most awesome thing is, you can go to the Social Security website and do a search of the most popular names for a particular year. I provided the link for 1918 (the year my grandmother was born), though I don't think the link will bring you right to that year.

If you check the web page for the social security administration they can give you lists of the most popular names dating back to the 1800's.
