The design of digital systems may be divided roughly into three parts--- system design, logic design, and circuit design.

For example, the system design of a digital computer could involve specifying the number and type of memory units, arithmetic units, and input-output devices as well as the interconnection and control of these subsystems.

Logic design involves determining how to interconnect basic logic building blocks to perform a specific function.

An example of logic design is determining the interconnection of logic gates and flip-flops required to perform binary addition.

數位系統的設計大概可以粗略的分成系統設計,邏輯設計及迴路設計等三部份.

系統設計包含將整各系統拆解成許多的子系統及具體指定每一個子系統的特性為何.

舉例來說,數位電腦的系統設計可以包含具體指定的記憶單元,運算單元,輸出輸入介面的數量與種類,等同設定子系統的連接與控制.

邏輯設計則是包含用以決定如何運用聯繫基本邏輯建構區塊,來執行指定的程式功能

簡單舉例說明邏輯設計,也就是利用相互連結的邏輯閘及(0,1)的正反單元來做二進位加法.

迴路設計則是涵括指定相互連接的特定單元,例如...(後面沒了)
