LT went to TCU which is Division 1. Jerry Rice went to a smaller school and he is arguably the best player at any position to ever play the game.

I know the Division 3 champions and runner up have both had a few late second day draft picks the past few seasons. However reality is that smaller schools do not send many high draft picks to the NFL. A lot of players who come out of D2 or D3 schools are undrafted and make NFL teams in training camp.

The greatest football player who ever played the Jerry Rice played Division 2/3. And L.T. went to Texas Christian University which is a division 1 school.

Less than 4% of all high school football players ever play a down of college football. Take away high school experience and I'd say your chances drop to less half of 1% if even less. Walking on to a division 2 college with out playing high school at minimum would be a waste of time.

  • Many NFL players have gone to Division 2/3 schools. Just look at team rosters and see where they went. The person at the top is wrong though. L.T went to TCU (Texas Christian University) a Dvi. 1 school. He/she obviously knows nothing about football since TCU is a pretty storied program in the NCAA.
