Just turned 30. I need a good book that can relate?

im starting to feel a lot of the same ole same ole in my life. Im also starting to rediscover myself. Im getting soo bored and I cant figure out what I want. I guess its the whole "Saturn return" thing.

I need a book that can not only relate but perhaps hold some answers to whats meaningful about my life.

thanks in advance

I'd recommend "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values" by :Robert M Pirsig.

It's very deep; it really makes you think about what's important.

I'd also recommend learning to meditate and finding the answers your looking for by yourself.

    Or take up free writing.

P.S.- The Bible will do nothing more than teach you to kill disobedient children and kill people who pick up stick on the Sabbath (Old Testament). It'll also teach you to persecute Jews (New Testament). If you look to Christianity I'd recommend church, or a Bible group; they somehow miscontort the "words of God" to make the Bible seem like a moral, humanistic work.

I couldn't zero in on a specific title but it seems like this website might have some books that would pertain to what you are looking for including some of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books.

Can I also suggest taking your query directly to your local bookstore or library? The person you might be asking may know the perfect book or perhaps feel the same way :) Good luck.

Try reading Kate Chopin's The Awakening. It's not a happy book, but it's eye opening.

Have you ever read "The Prophet?" or "The Alchemist?"

Both are really good books. Esp. the Alchemist. Good luck.
