Beautiful Sword?

I am looking for a REAL sword that is beautiful but has a dark/evil and fascinating history with it. I need a page that can give me pictures of it and the history behind it.

Update:

Also a romantic twist to a sword is fine as well.

Update 2:

Ok for the people who think they know what i am doing, you seem to not know. I am not doing some school project i dont even go to school. Also to those who really are giving me answers i would like to have something non Comercial, not William Wallace's sword, great story but to well known i want something more rare that most people dont know about.

Update 3:

If you want a REAL authentic sword with a history then you're going to have to look on ebay. To find historical items like that you need to go to an auction and buy from the family that the item has been passed down in. Hopefully some idiot won't know the value or meaning of the historical sword and will sell it at auction.

Don't rule out daggers either as German daggers handed out or used during WW2 are pretty cool with a neat history, of course the wrong history, but a history nonetheless.

I like the WW2 Japanese samurai swords if you can get proof it's authentic and who owned it. http://onemanknifefight.net/knife-sword-auction-ho...

Civil War Musician swords are neat

The really old German swords I think are very cool.

Sometimes you'll find really amazing old European swords on eBay. I saw some a few days ago that I couldn't believe were being sold. Of course they went for many hundreds. But you have to keep watching every day.

Don't just stick to swords as there's an authentic Ottoman shield on ebay right now.

All the real swords that I have ever seen that have been used not one of them have been beautiful only practical for their purpose. The only beautiful swords are dress swords or a sword like Prince John's which is in a museum in Kings Lynn Norfolk, more ceremonial than usable.

What type of sword broad, b_stard, cutlass, katana, cavalry, fencing etc? How old would it need to be? How much is your budget, a decent 19th century Lancers cavalry sword could be about £300, but a soldiers may only cost about £100.

I used to know a collector of Japanese armour and weapons and one of his swords which had a known history cost over 2 grand, the sword was only 19th century.

A little more thought about type etc maybe.

Do you have thousands of pounds to spare if you want something special, maybe one used in the charge of the light brigade?

If that a sword like the one you describe existed for real, it would be more famous than the excalibur and you would know about it by now. But if you don't want to restrict yourself on swords try looking into the Spear of Destiny.

If your doing what I think your doing you need to make your own. It's the work put into something that gives it meaning.
