Christmas Songs?

I was wondering, what are your favorite Christmas Songs? And it would really help if you could write the lyrics down too!

Mine is Christmas Time:

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,

Jack Frost nipping at your nose,

Yule Tide Carols Being sung by a choir,

And folks dressed up like Eskimos,

Everybody knows a turkey,

And some mistletoe, twill

Help to make the season bright

Tiny tots with thier eyes all a glow

Will find it hard to slepp tonight,

They know that Santa's on his way

He's loaded lots of toys and goodies

On his sleigh.......

Can't list all the lyrics, maybe someone else could finish it for me?

Everything on the "Maybe this Christmas" album. Especially Maybe this Christmas (Maybe this Christmas will mean something more. Maybe this year, love will appear deeper than ever before..), "What a Year for a New Year" and "Sweet Secret Peace" by Neil Finn. It's a wonderful album.

Also the 3rd "Very Special Christmas" album. The Dave Matthews song on there is what Christmas is all about.

Aimee Mann has awesome Christmas songs, and "Christmastime" with her husband and one of my faves Michael Penn

I could go on all day. Merry Christmas!

    ok...here are lyrics....

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

Jack Frost nipping at your nose

Yuletide carols being sung by a choir

And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe

Help to make the season bright

Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow

Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way

He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh

And every mother's child is gonna spy

To see if reindeer really know how to fly

So I'm offering this simple phrase

To kids from one to ninety-two

Although it's been said many times, many ways

    Merry Christmas to you

So I'm offering this simple phrase

To kids from one to ninety-two

Although it's been said many times, many ways

    Merry Christmas

    Merry Christmas

    Merry Christmas to you

My all time favorite is "This Christmas" The lyrics are:

    Lyrics :

    Hang all the mistletoe,

I'm gonna get to know you better, this Christmas .

And as we trim the tree,

How much fun it's gonna be together, this Christmas.

    Fireside is blazing bright,

And we're carolin' through the night.

    And this Christmas will be,

A very special Christmas for me.

    You and me together

    Will make this Christmas bright

Shake a hand, shake a hand now

    You and me together

    Will make this Christmas bright

    Presents and cards are here,

My world is filled with cheer and you, this Christmas.

    And as I look around,

Your eyes outshine the town, they do, this Christmas.

    Fireside is blazing bright,

And we're carolin' through the night.

    And this Christmas will be,

A very special Christmas for me, yeah.

    You and me together

    Will make this Christmas bright

Shake a hand, shake a hand now

    You and me together

    Will make this Christmas bright

Shake a hand, shake a hand now

    ??

    Merry Christmas

Oh, the fireside is blazing bright,

    We're caroling through the night

    And this Christmas will be,

A very special Christmas for me, yeah.

    You and me together

    Will make this Christmas bright

Shake a hand, shake a hand now

    You and me together

    Will make this Christmas bright

Shake a hand, shake a hand now

    Merry Christmas

Well, there's a beautiful song I think it's called, "Mary did you know?" I'm not sure who sings it. I've heard it sung by a woman and once by Kenny Rogers. I liked the woman better. I also love Christmas in Dixie by Alabama.

Oh Holy Night is a fav too.

and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.

I love every song on the Alabama Christmas Album, and my fav song is Christmas in Dixie:

By now in New York City, there's snow on the ground.

And out in California, the sunshine's falling down.

And, maybe down in Memphis, Graceland's all in lights.

And in Atlanta, Georgia, there's peace on earth tonight.

Christmas in Dixie, it's snowin' in the pines.

Merry Christmas from Dixie, to everyone tonight.

It's windy in Chicago. The kids are out of school.

There's magic in Motown. The city's on the move.

In Jackson, Mississippi, to Charlotte, Caroline,

And all across the nation, it's the peaceful Christmas time.

Christmas in Dixie, it's snowin' in the pines.

Merry Christmas from Dixie, to everyone tonight.

    And from Fort Wayne, Alabama,

God bless y'all...We love ya...Happy New Year...Good night

    Merry Christmas...Merry Christmas tonight!!

    Oh Holy Night

Oh Holy Night was written by Placide Clappeau, a French mayor, in 1847. It was translated into English a few years later.

    Oh holy night!

    The stars are brightly shining

It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!

Long lay the world in sin and error pining

Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

    Fall on your knees

    Oh hear the angel voices

    Oh night divine

Oh night when Christ was born

    Oh night divine

    Oh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming

With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand

So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming

Here come the wise men from Orient land

The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger

In all our trials born to be our friend.

Truly He taught us to love one another

His law is love and His gospel is peace

Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother

And in His name all oppression shall cease

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,

Let all within us praise His holy name.
