Both of them have bright futures. Berto got an impressive win over Estrada and if he keeps winning he will get a lot of opportunities. The match with Estrada was a WBC and IBF title elliminator so he could be in line for a title shot within the next year. Fighters love to be the first to put a defeat on someone's record as well so with that big O in the loss column paints a big bullseye on him. Lots of money fights are right around the bend and the welterweight division is full of great fighters.
In a way getting the first loss out of the way may be a blessing for Kermit Cintron. Now he is more focused and has no record to protect. He has two fights scheduled a warm up later this month then a unification match with Paul Williams in February. If he wins that he will argueably be right in line for the winner of Mosely - Cotto or Hatton -Mayweather. He is in the better spot right now but he is four years older and has 9 more fights than Berto so it is only natural. Everything rides on his performance against Paul Williams though. His future can remain bright even if he loses a close decision but if he loses like he did against Margarito his career may take a downhill spyral.

Berto, he is only going to get better, has yet to lose and has a much more solid backing. Cintron only has a less than involved Manny Steward, who will drop off his lower weight class guys, belt or not, for his heavyweights.
