Can you simplify this paragraph into simple english?
The Tenth Amendment states that the federal government of the United States has only the powers specifically delegated to it by the Constitution. Other powers are reserved to the states, or to the people. The Commerce Clause is an important source of those powers delegated to Congress, and therefore its interpretation is very important in determining the scope of federal power in controlling innumerable aspects of American life.

The Tenth Amendment says that the United Staes federal government only has those powers given to it in the Constitution. Other powers belong to the either states or to the people. The Commerce Clause lists many of the powers given to Congress, so how this clause is interpretted helps determine how much control the federal goverment has over a large number of everyday functions.

10th amendment says our gov. only has the power the constitution gives it.
The Commerce clause tells those powers and how it is interpreted can change how much power the government has.
That's as good as I can get it, hope that helps.

it says that there are certain limits on how much power the federal government has, and that the commerce clause is important because it lists the powers that the fed government does have.

it means that Bush is over stepping his bounds in a number of matters. States rights was what the civil war was about. It also is the crux of Bush going into iraq more or less telling congress to piss off. The Constitution is the foundation of our Govt, outside decisions belong to the states; read the constitution
