    Find moles from 1mol =22.4L

    mol CO2 = 0.550 L / 22.4 L/mol = 0.025 mol CO2

    Find grams by multiplying by Molar Mass of CO2, 44.0g/mol

    g = 0.025 mol x 44.0g/mol = 1.10g CO2

    Note: Use a calculator to check these numbers. I did them in my head.

    use the formula:

    PV=nRT

    P=101.3kPa

    V=0.55L

    n=? (what we need to find)

    R=constant (8.315)

    T=273K

    rearrange the formula so n equals

    n=PV/RT

    n=101.3x0.55/8.315x273

    n=2.45x10^-2 moles of CO2

    Using n=m/M, rearrange to get mass

    m=nM

    M(CO2)=12.01+16x2

    =44.01g/mol

    m=(2.45x10^-2)x44.01

    m=1.08grams which is closer to 1.10grams (e)

    Therefore, the answer is e.

    you need the density of CO2 at STP, from that you can convert it.
