A golf ball has a volume of approximately 40 cubic centimeters (give or take some for the dimples). Uranium has a density of about 19 grams per cc, so a golf-ball sized chunk of uranium would weigh around 773 grams. This works out to 27 1/4 ounces, or about 1.7 pounds.

    density of uranium: 19.1 g cm^-3

standard golf ball: 42.67mm dia (minimum)

weight of uranium golf ball: 776.9622 g

thats a little more than three fourth of a kilogram
