I would do an altar for either Frida Khalo or Diego Rivera. Both were hugely talented artists and you might even be able to find some "Frida muertos" online.

If you wanted to do someone who had political influence, try Che Guevarra or Pancho Villa. Both were men who died for the causes about which they were passionate.

By the way, Walt Disney was not Latino.

Ricky Ricardo was played by Desi Arnez..... Luicille Ball's husband in real life AND on the old I Love Lucy show. You could use Ricardo Montalbaln---he played Mr. Roark the proprietor of FANTASY ISLAND on the old TV show called FANTASY ISLAND.... he was also a Movie actor ---last famous role was that of Khan in the Star Trek Movie---The Wrath of Khan... There is also Julio and Enrique Igesias who are both very famous singers.... (father and son)...these men are all still alive however....except of COURSE Desi Arnez.... FERNANDO LAMAS was a famous actor married to Esther Williams who was also a famous actress and swimmer and they had a son who is a famous actor---Lorenzo Lamas...Fernando was in MANY old movies--he died many years ago...

Selena, a pop singer, was killed by her "manager" (gun shot) because she (the manager) was caught embezzling money from Selena's business and was fired. The manager went "postal". There is a book and a movie about her. She would be well known to the Hispanic community.

  • Freddy Prinze- he was an actor on the show "Chico & the Man" in the 1970's.

Oh, and Desi Arnaz played Ricky Ricardo.
