1.affect 、effect

affect 是動詞（V）影響；對…發生作用

【例句】Smoking will affect your health. 抽煙會影響你的健康。

effect 是名詞（N）效果；影響；作用

【例句】Their quarrels had a bad effect on their son. 他們的爭吵對兒子有不良的影響。

2.customer 、client

customer 是指商店的顧客、客人、買主

【例句】He is one of our regular customers. 他是我們的老主顧之一。

client 是指銀行的客戶或律師的委託人

【例句】”He is one of my clients,” the lawyer said. 律師說：「他是我的委託人之一。」

3.lie、lay（這個最容易混淆）

lie（N）謊言；

【例句】Be honest； don’t tell lies. 要誠實；不可以說謊。

lie（V）說謊（三態：lies；lied；lied）（分詞：lying）

【例句】He lied to his wife. 他對妻子說謊。
