What are the symptoms and reasons of paranoia? Is paranoia curable?

Update:

The Wikipidia essay doesn't tell whether or not it is curable. I'd like to know if it is curable in any way.

    Edit

Well your answer to that one is yes and no!

Paranoia can be a temporary state for someone. Someone under severe stress can become paranoid and when that stress is resolved then the paranoia will go away. Paranoia occurs with certain drugs, like marijuana. While under the influence then paranoia can occur so if stopped so does the paranoia associated with it. If it forms part of a mental illness, like schizophrenia, then no it's not curable only treatable as schizophrenia has no cure.

    Info on paranoia here:

It may not be completely curable - depending on how severe the condition. Anti-psychotics and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are suggested as treatment options.
