What did JD mean on Scrubs??

I just finished watching the episode My TCW of Scrubs! During the episode the janitor is doing a puzzle and JD says "chinch" or something! What did he mean and how was that offensive to the asians??

It is a derogatory racial term referring to asian people. It's used heavily in Vietnam war movies and I'm sure also by soldiers and other during that time period.

I don't know if it originated during that time. It was probably used before then also.

'cinch' means easy... not sure how it would be offensive though...
