There really is no "national" costume. There are traditional costumes or clothing from each region of Spain. Like the "trajes de faraleas" which the women wear. That's the "flamenco" style. They wear large shawls called "manton" which is also a "costume" of sorts. Then there is the Goyesca "style" which men and women wear..which is inspired by a type of bull fighting and inspired by Francesco Goya, a famous Spanish artist. The men wear traditional "bandoleros" which are high-waisted pants and there is also another very popular men's "style" for Vaqueros (cowboys).Source(s): me
