Is the 1911 0.45 ACP still in use by some units of active duty US Army or they all shifted to 9mm Berreta ?

    All active army use 9mm Berreta

    All of the active Army completed the transition in the early 1990s.

    There might still be some Reserve or National Guard units with 1911, but I doubt it.

    The US Army as a rule has switched to the 9mm. This was done becuase it was a NATO round and easier to use than the 1911.

    sadly with the exception of maybe of some SF units the Army uses a piece of crap 9mm rather than the trusted 45.
