Morena...?

Ok, so I know this means dark hair/skin, but is it also in reference to a black girl?

Yes, it is. It's not pejorative.

Yes it refers to all those things. The word may have been taken to describe a person native of the Morena province of North India or it may also derive from the word "moor" or "moro" in Spanish which refers to the Norther African Muslims.

Yes, literally it means "dark-coloured one" [feminine form], and it is NOT an insult. In fact, "negra" or "negrita" can be a very affectionate term. (So can the masculine forms, "*****" and "negrito".) [Not pronounced the same as in English!]
