How can I make and design my own fonts to use for Microsoft Word?

I was thinking that you could maybe just make every letter by handwriting it and scanning it to your computer. Is it that simple? Steps please?

certain. besides the undeniable fact that the fonts on your computing gadget are depending on the fonts you've put in or downloaded off the web. some fonts are freeware, some require expenses formerly they could properly be used on something someone might want to change into rewarding in on (like on shirts). double verify to confirm.
