I use Garnier Fructise shampoos and conditioners (sometimes I switch to Matrix) and I actually prefer the way my hair looks and feel without any product in it at all. I just use a hair dryer to give my hair some volume, but I don't like to apply any product. Sometimes, if I want a lot of volume or wave (since my hair is straight) I will use a volumizing mousse by Paul Mitchell, Biolage, Tresemme, or Loreal.

The best natural substance to apply for hair is coconut oil . Just apply about 10 teaspoons of it , before sleeping at night. Wash it with a good shampoo the next morning. Its a slow remedy, but very effective.
