Jim Crow is the name for a system of laws regarding segregation, not a real person.
Thurgood Marshall was a justice of the Supreme Court and died a natural death.
Malcolm X was assassinated by Black Muslims in, I believe, 1965. The movie about him by Spike Lee is quite good.
Both Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated in 1968.
