    Well if you are measuring the weight of liquid in a beaker,

    make sure to measure the weight of the beaker, then subtract the weight of the beaker from the weight of the beaker and liquid

    Also draughts can affect the balance. So if you have a big glass covering for the balance, then you can eliminate any uncertainty in the mesurement
