pokesav question?

i am thinking about getting pokesav and action replay for my ds lite. i am using pokemon diamond. i read online, that in order to use pokesav, you have to extract your save file from your pokemon game. how do i do that?

im trying to figure out how to extract the save file. everyone says you have to do it but no one explains how to do it.

You can extract your save with an Action Replay Max or a GamesharkDS, and convert it so PokeSav can use it.

However, you don't need the .SAV to use PokeSav-generated codes.

I really don't think you have to extract your game save file.
