At the start of the song you can clearly hear the drum beats, I'm trying to figure out what the percussion instruments used are.

The very shallow and large diameter drums are Frame Drums. Once in a while, if you look carefully, you'll see but prominently hear a large barrel shaped drum that is played sideways (drum heads on left & right side as opposed to top and bottom.) that is called the Dhol drum.

I suspect that more than one Dhol drum is use on this music track as it is very Dhol heavy sounding.
