wireshark and ethereal?

Question

I am running wireshark and looking for odbc connection setup in trace. Shd I look for TCPport 1433 in that trace? What else shd I look for? Please help me out.

A suggestion would be to capture the entire conversation. Either monitor the client and filter the server IP address (recommended) then you will not get alot of the server junk. or vice versa but you will see all the other server conversations as well

There may be conversations outside of the ODBC that could help you diagnose the issue
