Usually Cell Biologists, though botanists will grow cells and tissues from plants.

"Tissue Culture" (as opposed to "Cell Culture") refers to the growth of cells from multicellular organisms.

I am interested in tissue culture but don't have access to a lab. I propagate cuttings and have a pop up greenhouse. It is a hobby, for me. Today, I stuck purslane cuttings. Potted up some Lantana that had once been cuttings. Took some Ivy cuttings too. Probably will take cuttings tomarrow from Rosemary.
