Why does MTV have a music awards when all they show is TV programs?

very good point. well they have mtv2 which plays...well wait it doesnt play music either. well, then where they find this music is beyond you and me. i stopped watching mtv ten years ago, its dumb, sucks, stupid, and a waste of time
