Wisdom is the tempering of knowledge. Without that tempering, like in tempering steel to make a sword, knowledge will tend to cause the person to self destruct...

Knowledge without wisdom is the intelligence of innocents. But those who are innocent get overcome by greed and power when they don't have direction.

Knowledge is worthless without wisdom. You may know all things but you do not know how to use it and how to value it. If you have the wisdom although your not that intelligent you can still live in this life thats full of challenges for you have the wisdom to use in overcoming this difficulties. You can't travel life for knowledge alone you must also have the wisdom like that of Solomon.

Personally i believe that there is no true or definite answer to this. But this is what i believe and have heard...

Knowledge and wisdom are truly two very different things. To put it simply knowledge is knowing and wisdom is doing. Knowledge is simply information that you know and recognize but it isn't truly in your inner mind or consciousness. Wisdom is a bit more complicated. Wisdom is about truth and living in this truth. Socrates stated that he was a man who knew nothing, yet he still claimed to be filled with wisdom. This is because he was able to find the inner truth through discovering the soul which gave him the ability to live through truth and purity. See, when we are able to become enveloped in our souls, we clear ourselves from the false illusion that society has created. Then by gathering even greater wisdom our souls will be able to free themselves of our bodies and connect themselves to the entire universe. So basically what i am saying is that knowledge is knowing facts and wisdom is discovering truth. So to answer your question knowledge is simply pointless without wisdom, but if we are able to convert the right knowledge into wisdom we can start our path towards the discovery of the soul and inner truth otherwise known as enlightenment.

Knowledge is used in order to gain wisdom...knowledge is like a puzzle and you collect different pieces througout your life, and as you collect these pieces you are becoming more wise. wisdom is the culmination of your life's experiences. you can have a 10 year old with a 190 IQ and a 60 year old with a 105 IQ. the 10 year old might have all of the knowledge in the world, but he doesn't have worldly wisdom, while the 60 year old does....

Passion must be tempered with logic, wine must be tempered with water. Intelligence has value but without wisdom is worthless
