No defense ever scored 40 points per game over a season, no matter how good it was.
Offense is required, and required to score often.
Special teams help, but they aren't on the field enough to effect a team outside of individual circumstances (ie, both defenses are so good, and both offenses so lousy that no one can score otherwise.)
There are those games when the placekicker makes a big differnce, but typically not for an entire winning season. Can anyone name a team who won all season long based on special teams ?

Offense is least important because... it just is....
Special teams is important, because it can be a momentum breaker and can decide close games all on its own
Kicking is really important, when the pats won their 3 superbowls they won 2 of them because of Adam Vinateiri
