Hannah and Faye made some ' krispy cakes '. Last week they made some and they were delicious. Today they made some and they were horrible. Hannah thought that it might be the type of chocolate that they used. Last
week they used milk chocolate and today they used dark chocolate. Both girls were keen to investiage if Hannah was correct. They decided that the outcome variable would be taste.

David and Connor were investigating how good paper towels were at
mopping up water . They had three types of paper towel- thin towels, thick
towels and extra thick towels. They took a meter length of each towel and dipped it in 600ml of water. They took out the towel and measured how much water was left in the bucket.
