How long did the US fight in the Great War?

a.About one year.

b.From 1914 to 1917.

c.For four years.

d.A few months.

The Great War started on July 28,1914,a month after Franze

Ferdinand, heir to the Austrian throne, was murdered.Blaming the Serbian government for the murder,Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. The

surrounding countries were quickly drawn into the war.France,Russia,

Great Britain and Belgium defened Serbia, while Germany sided with

Austria- Hungary. The United States tried to stay neutral, but after German

submarines sunk many American ships, the US declared war on Germany

in 1917.

How long did the US fight in the Great War?

而你的課本也寫the US declared war on Germany in 1917.

    http://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%E4%B8%8...

Source(s): the american journey -a history of the united states v.2-
