here's a copy of what is said, sounds like spam to me:

If you would like to keep your account for free, send this to everybody on your friend list and this way, we can know, which account ot delete. Send this at least eight days and and your account will remain free>Once again I'm sorry that I have to do this Please start sending. Whoever doesn't start sending this message, your account will be deactivated and you will start paying for your account for 10.00 a month to use it. Send this to everybody on your list and right click on your group, do not delete!!

Yep, it's spam alright. Since it was forwarded from a friend, just delete it. But in the future, if something is sent from an email addy that you don't recognize and if you've already deleted it but it's still in your trash bin, move it to your inbox, then click the button next to it (where the check mark goes) and then click "spam". This gets reported to yahoo immediately as spam.

I'm no genius, but that's got hoax written all over it. Why in the world would Yahoo have to get the word out through individuals. They would put it on the top page. Trash it!

Check out Snopes and you will see this havs been around for YEARS!!! this is definitely spam, check out the link and confirm for yourself.

It has come under MSN, YAHOO, AIM and AOL, so it is definitely a hoax

    YES! IT IS SPAM!

Do not forward it to anyone, delete it now! Runa virus scan make sure you don't get screwed. Yahoo, doesn't charge for their email accounts, that why it say "FREE".

...this is a major wind up...it sounds like a new troll attack...be very careful about viruses too...I opened a question with a link on it 2 days ago and a trojan virus was introduced...it took me 1 hour to purge it from my computer...tell her to send it to Yahoo...
