In real estate, the rule is location, location, location.

In Bangkok, decent studio apartments with air con rent from 7,000 baht per month and up if having a reasonably good location. Cheaper on the fringes of the city.

Up country (i.e., in the provinces), you can rent a house for 3-4,000 baht per month.

You did not mention how much is cheap or your budget but you can try these places.

If you are looking at long term stay in Bangkok... let me know the budget and I will recommend a few places ie >$1,000 per month - >$800 per month etc ....

This hotel has a monthly rate of only 18,000 Baht -

If you want cheap, thai style cheap - like 3000 baht a month - there are many many places - not too big, not too nice - but you can find something in almost any neighborhood - just remember, the nearer to the skytrain etc - the more expensive it will be - I live upcountry and a pretty decen 2 bedroom western style house is 4000 baht a month - you will not find that in bkk - but the further out, the cheaper - - if you tell me where you want to be - I might be able to recommend something more specific.. best of luck

Visit - Many good deals for Thailand. You can book on line. I have used them in the past and are very good. Click on Holiday Shop or Worldwide Travel to find the hotels/stars/info/location/reviews etc. -

    Have a nice holiday.

you really need to give more information honey.

    1.. how much is cheap

    2. furnish or unfurnish

    3. do you want with air and/or hot water.

    4. what do you consider near? I live in bangkok but it still takes me a good hour on the bus to get to siam center.

also remember that if you rent a place you need at least two month despoit.

    hope this helps.
