    Ca(OH)2 <-> Ca2+ + 2 OH- ----------(1)

    Ca(NO3)2 -> Ca2 + + 2 NO3- -----------(2)

    Adding Ca(NO3)2 will increase the Ca2+ ion concentration. In order to maintain equilibrium backward reaction of (1) is enhanced resulting in more Ca(OH)2 (which is insoluble). Therefore adding Ca(NO3)2 reduces solubility of Ca(OH)2
