Do you believe a good hostess should give her guests a chamber pot or bed pan if they spend the night?

The year is 2007.I'm pretty sure a guest bathroom would be received better than a chamber pot or bed pan.

Hmmm... How about a guest bathroom stocked with lots of fresh towels, toilet paper, and soap? I think that they'd prefer that to a chamber pot or a bed pan.

    What happened???

Did they tell you you couldn't use the toilet?

and not give you a bed pan???

Were I you I would not go for sleepovers there anymore.

Home is where the indoor plumbing is.

In the absence of indoor plumbing, I'd say this would be the polite thing to do.

Of course, a good host empties it.

Oh dear, Mr. Sandstorm... I'm sure there's a bathroom in the house, which is much more sanitary!

No, but I would make sure they knew where the bathroom was.
